Last updated: October 18, 2026. This page explains what this website collects, why, and how it is handled.
Information collected
Contact form. When you submit the contact form, this site receives your name, email address, and message. These are used solely to read and reply to your inquiry — they are never sold, shared, or used for marketing.
Technical logs. Submissions are recorded in a server-side log together with the time and the IP address they came from. IP addresses are also used for rate limiting (to prevent spam and abuse). These logs are not public and are stored in a protected directory.
What this site does not do
This site does not use cookies, analytics, advertising trackers, or fingerprinting. It does not create user accounts or profiles, and it does not share your information with third parties for their own purposes.
Third-party services
A few features rely on external services, which receive standard browser data (your IP address and user agent) when your browser contacts them:
- Google reCAPTCHA v3 — spam protection on the contact form; subject to Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
- Google Fonts & jsDelivr (Devicon) — font and icon files served from their CDNs.
- GitHub API — the contributions graph fetches public repository data server-side; your personal data is not sent to GitHub.
Local storage
Your theme preference (light or dark) is saved in your browser's local storage so it persists between visits. It never leaves your device and can be cleared at any time through your browser settings.
Data retention & security
Contact messages are kept in the mailbox they were delivered to and in the server-side submission log. Reasonable technical measures are in place — input sanitization, rate limiting, same-origin checks, and restricted file access — to protect that data. If you would like a submission removed, send a request and it will be deleted.
Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data you have submitted through this site at any time by emailing clarksteven.edong@softtechservices.net.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date above will be revised. Continued use of the site after an update means the revised policy applies.
